Learning Objectives:

  1. Explore the role of Methadone in MOUD
  2. Identify where Methadone fits into the continuum of care in MOUD
  3. Understand the role of transitions in the employment MOUD medication

Description

Of the roughly 2.1 million U.S. adults who have opioid use disorder, 19% receive Methadone treatment.  In the current illicit drug supply landscape, Methadone and other MOUD medications are a vital part of preventing overdose harm and deaths and supporting recovery. This 6-month Project ECHO will highlight Methadone as a treatment for Opioid Use Disorder, with a focus on state-of-the-art practices and treatments.
