The New Overdose Risk Score and Other PMP Tools to Improve Patient Safety

This webinar will provide a tour of the many tools to assist prescribers with evaluating the risks and benefits of controlled substance prescribing, particularly those to assess for higher-risk prescribing practices. It will also introduce and evaluate the new Overdose Risk Score.

Objectives

    • Assess the PMP tools available to improve patient safety
    • Evaluate the new PMP Overdose Risk Score (ORS v2.0)
    • Review higher risk prescribing thresholds and universal precautions

Continuing Medical Education

    Elisabeth Fowlie Mock
    MD

    Dr. Mock received her doctorate from Vanderbilt Medical School and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill. She also attended Colby College and Emory University. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. She works primarily as a clinical educator and consultant with per diem hospitalist and buprenorphine clinic shifts and is Maine PMP Clinical and Policy Advisor for Maine’s Office of Behavioral Health.
